I’m back in Beirut after almost two months in Europe! (pictures will follow)

These two pictures are from a new project I am working on; Downtown Beirut. It is said Beirut’s city center has been destroyed and rebuilt 7 times. There are ruins from the many different eras (Phoenician, Roman and bronze to name-drop a few..) and it is currently developing and changing at a very fast pace.

Will it be for the better or will we be left with only fancy shops and apartments who just a handful of people can afford to live in?

In the next months I will try to understand what is at stake, how and in which way urban planing is affecting the way people interact with this part of town and try to capture its atmosphere.

Stay posted!
