My absolute favorite place to hang out on a Sunday in the summer; Rodeløkkens kolonihager. It was established in 1907 and houses 151 gardening allotments.
  I like to go there because there’s a house on top of the park where they serve waffles, coffee and ice-cream (between 12 and 14pm), and the average age of its visitors almost has three digits. It’s also an incredibly quiet place for being so close to Carl Berners plass. If you’re in luck you’ll catch a pair of very cute trumpet-and-accordian-playing grandpas!
